FOR THE TEACHERS EVENT...AN OVERVIEW

Lisa Gay

"EDUCATORS OF AMERICA" is a Non-Profit Charity that "Honors Teachers" at  music events, which spotlights education, community awareness and social issues that directly impact people of all affiliations in every community .  Our events also help to support other non-profit groups that benefit, Children, Seniors, Animals, and the community at large. Our purpose is to establish a "Home for Retired Teachers as a Resource Center in Los Angeles". The Home and Resource Center would serve as a type of "leisure world" environment that would create an invaluable asset to keep those educators accessible who remain active even after retirement as they still hold a "wealth of knowledge and information" to be shared with students, and  other educators currently teaching in the system.  "Educators of America" ongoing mission includes development of  "New Era Strategies" programs to serve as additional "tools" to support community, administrators, teachers, parents and students of all ethnic backgrounds to achieve stronger work habits,  higher test scores, and an open dialogue of "kindness" for all.

We are all aware that our educators receive little or no recognition, yet are among the most instrumental in cultivating young minds to adulthood, while in most cases, raising and supporting a family of their own. On Sunday, September 9th, we will honor the following Educators: Margie Lutcher Levy (newly retired this year after 49 years of service- LAUSD), Sybil Thomas Coker, Daniel W. Austin, Ella Pruden Jackson, (and more to be announced)   on behalf of the students of the world to say - "Thank You" - we appreciate you!

We are also honored to have a special presentation from Beth Bradley, Regional Development Manager for Californiafrom the non-profit organization, "Operation Smile". Partial proceeds  from this event are being donated to help support  life changing surgeries for every child of the world, "Changing One Smile at a Time"..... www.operationsmile.org

So come join us for  a festive celebration in honor of all  Educators featuring, New Music! Fresh Outdoor Sunshine in the South Bay!  Great food,! Raffle! Dancing!  Must have "Hot Items" with tons of fun, and many other special surprises for all!!

Thank you and tell some friends!

         Mrs. Cullie Gay

Proceeds from this event will benefit underprivileged children, young artists and "at risk youth".

This inaugural showcase of diverse performances will lend to pursue various sponsors to host similar events for all ages in an effort to lay a foundation that would serve as Home for Retired Teachers in the Los Angeles area.

Our goal is to establish a "leisure world" type of environment for educators. This environment would be an invaluable  asset and keep those educators accessible who remain active even after retirement as they still hold a "wealth of knowledge and information" that can be shared with students and other educators currently teaching in the system who may require encouragement or simple advice such as a lesson plan.

We are all aware that our educators receive little or no recognition, yet are among the most instrumental in cultivating young minds to adulthood, while in most cases, raising and supporting a family of their own. We now have an opportunity on behalf of the students of the world, to say- "Thank you- we appreciate you!"

Sincerely,

Lisa Cullie Gay (Producer)
